SAVOR in Action

SAVOR in Action started with a bilingual young girl, who helped her Spanish-speaking mother, cook delicious meals at home. Together, they drove around North Platte, going from business to business to sell their food, earning a much-needed income while navigating their immigrant status. Today, Adi is the Executive Director of Las Mañanitas, and alongside her mother, Eve, she operates a licensed kitchen dedicated to helping those who need it most—no matter their background, legal status, or situation.

Here’s how it works:

• Your Recipe, Our Support: We provide $120 worth of ingredients, reserve our kitchen space, and offer volunteers to cook your recipe. We then spread the word through social media and our community to sell your dish, with all proceeds going directly to you or your family.
   
• Fresh Tortillas for Good: We purchase ingredients and make fresh flour and corn tortillas to sell, with 100% of the proceeds going to the individual or family in need.
