Viva North Platte is much more than a celebration, it connects, educates, and empowers! Viva North Platte is an annual Hispanic-Latino festival that aims to become a tradition in North Platte.
We celebrate culture, youth, arts, and history in the Lincoln County area. Our festival features a variety of performances, workshops, and activities that showcase talent and diversity, including the crowning of a Latina Queen & Princess, who serve as positive role models for youth in the community. Viva North Platte’s mission is to promote education, empowerment, and cultural appreciation within the Hispanic-Latino community, and to create a platform for individuals to showcase their talents and achievements.
This year, our goal is to provide support and funding to deserving young entrepreneurs in our community but we cannot do it alone. We have partnered with various organizations who have the knowledge and experience to help aspiring entrepreneurs reach their business goals. Within our Entrepreneur Program, all participants will receive support through business planning, money management, and resources that extend beyond state lines. One of the entrepreneurs will receive a start-up grant, awarded during the Viva North Platte Festival.
We love to show appreciation and acknowledgment to all who have supported and positively influenced the Hispanic community in Lincoln County. The Hispanic Heritage Gala brings together leaders, business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to celebrate their successes, achievements and growth. This year's Gala will be held on Friday, September 13th in the Canteen Room located inside the Community Playhouse, downtown North Platte, Tickets can be purchased beforehand or at the door.
