At Las Mañanitas, we believe in the power of community and the importance of creating opportunities where they are needed most. The decision to establish our expanded project on the north side was both intentional and meaningful. Here's why:

1. Supporting an Underserved Area
The north side of our community has historically faced economic challenges and limited access to resources. By investing in this area, we aim to spark revitalization and create a hub of opportunity for local residents, entrepreneurs, and families.

2. Strengthening the Local Economy
The project will serve as a catalyst for economic growth on the north side. Through our business incubator, we will lease affordable commercial spaces to aspiring entrepreneurs, giving them a low-risk environment to launch and grow their ventures. Additionally, our kitchen incubator will empower food entrepreneurs with access to a licensed commercial kitchen, fresh produce, and business management workshops, helping them thrive in a competitive market.

3. Expanding Access to News and Information
We’re also expanding our Spanish newsroom, building on the success of our established La Voz Boletín Hispano. This newsletter, already delivered twice a month to feedlots, construction businesses, restaurants, and other businesses, will find its new home on the north side. With this expansion, we’ll provide a dedicated space for creating relevant, timely content for the Latino community, ensuring they remain informed and connected to both local and national news.

4. A Commitment to Equity
Placing this project on the north side reflects our commitment to addressing disparities in access to opportunities. By offering affordable commercial spaces, a thriving kitchen incubator, and expanded newsroom services, we’re leveling the playing field for residents and small business owners.

6. A Community Hub for Events and Gatherings
As part of the project, we are excited to offer a community and event center that will provide a welcoming space for residents to host celebrations, cultural events, workshops, and other gatherings. This space will be open to the community, fostering connection and unity while offering an affordable venue option for families and organizations.
