Youth Outreach. Learning & Overcoming
Our goal is to guide teens and young adults between the ages of 13 & 23 who are at risk of falling through the cracks because of various stressors including homelessness, poverty, addiction, violence, among others and encourage them to surpass and succeed.
To achieve this goal, we have three programs strategically tailored for teens and young adults: YOLO Meet-Ups, Threads Boutique, & Street Outreach.
We partner with local organizations and host YOLO Meet-Ups free of charge for the youth. These Meet-Ups are held on Monday evenings in different locations with scheduled topics, a free snack and resources for youth. See our calendar above to learn when our next Meet-Up is!
Youth involved in the juvenile justice system, foster care, diversion or at risk of dropping out will have their own individualized plan and earn points for reaching goals that aid in positive change. These points are then turned into dollar amounts and youth can exchange the points for brand new clothing and/or shoes.
Twice a month, our Street Outreach volunteers take action by providing assistance, resources, & guidance to those who need it the most. See how you can get involved!
Forms can be emailed to info@lmca308.org or dropped off at Mackenzie's Snack Shack 408 N Dewey St.
Justice involved youth can be referred to our services by their probation officers.
